What is WAGGGS
With ten million members across the world, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary organization for girls and young women. WAGGGS brings together Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Associations in 150 countries across five regions – Africa, Arab, Asia Pacific, Europe and Western Hemisphere. WAGGGS also have four residential training centres, the World Centres – in India (Sangam), Mexico (Our Cabaña), Switzerland (Our Chalet) and the UK (Pax Lodge). WAGGGS works with many regional, national and international organizations and alliances to further its Mission “to help girls and young women develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.”

The Asia Pacific Region has a dynamic growth, currently standing at 3.6 million strong. The latest Member Organization of the region is Myanmar Girl Guides which restarted Girl Guiding after 50 years.
