One of the unique aspects of Guiding is that their human resources are provided by Volunteers. Committed volunteer are the core of the movement. The elected/nominated volunteers of the Association (the General Council, the Executive Committee, the standing committees) have the responsibility for setting the strategic vision, direction of work, priorities and policies of the Association.
