Partnership Visit, 2016

Pakistan Girl Guides Association is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Pakistan Girl Guides Association is part of Asia Pacific Region of WAGGGS. Members of Asia Pacific Committee of WAGGGS, Ms. Winnie She and Relationship Manager, Ms. Grace Tam visited Pakistan from 15th to 18th November, 2016 for Partnership Visit. During the visit the AP (Asia Pacific) Team met Office Bearers, Executive & Council members, different Committees, Staff, trainers and Young leaders of PGGA.

On 15th of November, 2016 Partnership Visit team members met the Council members of Pakistan Girl Guides Association. A presentation regarding Pakistan Girl Guides Association’s Program, Activities, projects, etc. was given to them. Afterwards AP Committee members gave their presentation. During their presentation they informed the members about new structure and ways of work of WAGGGS. At the end AP Committee members visited different stalls set by Branches of PGGA.

On 16th November, 2016 they met Guides at Islamabad Model College for Girls, I/9. During the visit Junior Guides were working on the activities of “We want to clean the world”. Girl Guides were working on the theme “I am a Guide” and Senior Guides worked on “Fit for tomorrow”.

Later on the day, AP Committee members visited Youth Forum which was organized at PGGA National Headquarters and met the Young leaders and participants of international events.    In the evening they attended a Camp fire at PGGA, National Headquarters. Guides sang folk and Guide songs during the Campfire.

On 18th of November PV team met the Chairman NDMA and discussed the role Guides can play during emergencies. AP team also conducted a capacity building session on leadership development. Later in the day, PV team gave their final presentation to Pakistan Girl Guides Association and presented their recommendations.
